Diagnosis first. Repair that lasts.
West Peak Restoration is a Vancouver / Lower Mainland contractor covering building envelope, flood and water damage, HVAC, and drywall — one crew, from diagnosis to finished repair.
15 years in waterproofing and cladding
West Peak Restoration was founded in 2011 by a crew with backgrounds in general contracting and building envelope repair, after seeing the same pattern play out across the Lower Mainland: buildings patched for water damage again and again without anyone tracing the problem to its actual source. What started as small envelope repairs on wood-frame strata buildings grew, project by project, into a full restoration contractor — adding flood and water damage response, HVAC, and drywall reconstruction so a building could be assessed, dried, and rebuilt under one contract instead of being handed between separate trades.
15 years later, we've worked on homes, strata buildings, and commercial properties across Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. The founding principle hasn't changed: diagnose the actual cause before recommending a repair.
What makes our approach different
Most contractors in this market specialise in one trade and hand you off when the job crosses into another. We don't. West Peak covers the four services that most often show up together on the same building — building envelope restoration, flood and water damage restoration, HVAC, and drywall — under one contract and one crew.
That matters because these failures are connected. A leak traced to the envelope often means wet drywall behind it. A flood that soaks a mechanical room can take out the furnace or heat pump with it. Instead of managing three or four separate contractors and hoping their schedules line up, you get one point of contact from the first assessment through the finished repair. Every project still starts the same way regardless of which service it falls under: we diagnose the actual cause, put it in a written scope with a fixed price, and only then start work — not a guess based on the visible damage alone.
Our mission
Stop water damage at the source — not just patch the symptoms.
Buildings in this climate fail the same way, over and over: water finds a way into an assembly that can't drain or dry, and the visible damage gets patched without anyone addressing the path the water took. We built West Peak around fixing that pattern — so the work we do performs for decades, not until the next wet season.
Diagnose before we quote
We trace the moisture path through the assembly before recommending a repair, so the scope addresses the cause — not just the visible damage.
Fixed price, written scope
Every project starts with a clear written scope and price before work begins. No guesswork, no surprise change orders.
One crew, start to finish
The same team handles assessment, drying, envelope repair, HVAC, and drywall, so nothing falls through the gap between trades.
Built for the coastal climate
Every assembly we install or repair follows rainscreen best practice and BC Building Code requirements for a wet climate — not a generic national spec.
Direct communication
Homeowner or strata council, you get a single point of contact and documentation you can actually use — for an AGM, an insurance claim, or your own records.
Long-term performance
We measure a repair by whether it holds up in five winters, not by how it looks the day we leave the site.
